You will see that even one of the three reasons listed keep the benefits of massage therapy to a minimum.The one thing these blocks have is that they  all spring from being “in your head”. Our mind and judgments diminish our receptivity and therefore we accept, willingly, to be in pain, blame other or “government & corporations” for lives of misery. To be blunt, you tense up (your buttocks which are a MUSCLE) so you won’t “fart” because you’ll be embarrassed.   You may say “rich” people can have “treats” or you are a “working stiff” so you’ll live with “it”. Those are all ego mind created falsehoods that diminish your self worth.  

Many people are finally exposed to the benefits massage therapy after car accidents or other physical events where they may receive a prescription from their physician. Then people do not continue after the prescription is over because the belief of massage benefits being “temporary” kick in. Meanwhile your body is living and experiencing tension and trauma in everyday life.

Many massage therapist give you stretches to work out specific muscles or areas that in distress. You take these home and have to do them a day at a time to benefit. You have to integrate these changes into your daily life to really find balance and ease of motion. We become responsible for taking in the new information and utilizing it for our benefit. That like all therapies is the point of treatments. You receive new information and/or discover information that seemed hidden from your awareness and then comes into “light” for you to acknowledge and make adjustments.

What am I saying to you? I say and I challenge you to go find a licensed or student massage therapist. Go to a professional massage therapist or to a school of massage (they offer discounted treatments in their clinics) and have the experience. Take courage to really open your body and your mind to a beneficial experience. I say if you do and have a “bad” experience, make another appointment with someone else. Keep trying massage therapy until you discover all the types of massage or reflexology treatments. Take courage and open yourself to human touch. Go with the intention of receiving a healthful beneficial treatment and be persistent. Leave your reasons and rationale of your cultural beliefs and let your body receive a treatment to release the accumulated tension and trauma.

That’s what I am saying, take courage and find the benefit of massage therapy today!

I had heard on the news in recent years and months that Regis had had health problems and was recuperating and then he had returned to the show. Today the show started with the usual back and forth chatter of Regis and Kelly Ripa. He brought a particular health situation to note that previously had been helped with a Reflexology treatment. He even commented that Reflexology sessions are called treatments. I thought that was Fantastic! He went on to say that the prior experience was very helpful so that now in his current health situation he, though not immediately, thought to call the Reflexologist and receive a treatment.

This is a national show with a great following. Hurray for Reflexology everywhere! We are entering more and more into daily conversation as a treatment for health and it’s wonderful benefits by a person who is respected and followed by many “establishment” individuals. I hope that this positive exposure benefits the practitioners and the recipients of treatments.

Are we being a sick minded culture? Yes, the collective belief is that everybody’s body will turn against them and need to be “fixed”. This involves doctors visits, test and a lot of drugs. Have you taken the time to even contemplate that the are now and always have been people that never get physically sick until they die? Do they have a secret that the rest don’t? Are they special? Are they luckier?

Ponder this possible fact, they live life. That’s it they live. They belief and express the belief that life is to be lived and then at some point they take a “last” breath. They believe this so then they experience it. Why are the rest of the world doing this too?

This sequence of ego importance creates emotional scarring, the root of all dis-ease and physical effects. Each experience or “result” of our actions is not taken for what its true purpose is, gaining and remembering wisdom. These scenes that we experience are not meant to be diminished in value. They are valuable, the point is from perspective. Are we victims or victors of our own lives? Was there a jewel we received from our experiences?

An integrated mind-spirit-body health perspective shows emotional scars we carry are the root of our body’s being out of perfection. We hold these scars in and they actually create a change in the shape and activity of our cells. The organs and systems start to compensate for the imbalance and now we have an effect building on another effect and it, if not paid attention, spins out of control.

What is the solution? The beginning to create a change is awareness. Don’t see your body as separate from you that causes you discomfort. That’s what commercials for medications focus on. Start by honoring your body and talk to you. It’s trying to talk to you and tell you what it needs. Do you listen? Honor your body by playing an imagination game. Say “OK body, I guess we are in a partnership… what’s this ache about? What is this indigestion about? You are smart, guide me to what is going on?” Since it is an imagination game, trust the answer you get and even say back “I don’t understand what you said, could you be clearer, I’m a beginner at this” This opens a door that may still tell you to take a medication, or see a medical physician. You are not trying to avoid anything; you are reconnecting with your self. Now you proceed back to on a path to excellent, whether you had it before or not.

It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble, how hopeless the outlook, how muddled the tangle, how great the mistake. A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.
